I LOVE planning parties and other things! I am very detailed and well anal about it all. It has to be as perfect as can be. I have it all planned out and it ends up great!
I am planning Alaythia's bday party which is this Saturday! I asked people to RSVP and then I asked them to let me know even if they can't make it so I can tell the restaurant how many people we have so they can accommodate us with the right size room. We don't want to take a big room if we only have 15 people showing up. I know things suddenly happen and then there is the weather that you can't predict which is totally fine it is the people who don't RSVP and show up anyway or those who RSVP and just don't show up.
I put a lot of time and effort into a party and all I ask the receiver of the invitation is just let me know if you are coming or not.
Sorry for ranting but it just kind of sucks!

So today is...
Today is December 10th 2008 which marks my 10 day countdown until my big girl turns 2!!! Yes that is right my little Alaythia is going to be 2! I am so happy yet sad! I can't believe how time flies! What is even scarier is that in just a mere 3 months from now Anteya turns 1! Oh how fast they grow up!
Alaythia is having a Winnie the Pooh themed party. We aren't going to really do much decoration since we are having a dinner party at a buffet. So we are going to get her a big Winnie the Pooh balloon and I made her a collage and wrote a poem for her! Otherwise it is going to be just food, drinks, and a bunch of fun!!!!! I am so excited!!!!! I also can't wait to watch her rip open those presents for her birthday and for X-Mas! It is going to be adorable!!!I also can't wait to watch her eat her cake!!!! It is going to be AWESOME!!!!

Heck of a couple of days
So yesterday I spent the entire afternoon and night making ornaments with Alaythia! I made them from scratch, cut them out, baked them, and then sat Alaythia down and we started to paint them! I am so proud of her!! She was having such a great time! She kept yelling "Mommy codur!" codur=color! It was so much fun! Well all my hard work paid off. Today we were able to finish decorating our tree and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love Christmas and decorations! Tomorrow we will hang lights around our windows, put up the rest of the decals, and start buying more stuff for our village. I love this time of year! We started watching our traditional holiday movies like our ALL TIME fave National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.Which is playing right now! We watch this movie EVERY Christmas. Especially Christmas day! We also watch the Santa Clause, A Christmas Story, and for the first time in my life It's A Wonderful Life. Yes yes I have NEVER seen It's A Wonderful Life but don't worry Aaron is making me watch it this year!
Well last night after all my hard work I was SO ready to get to bed but my kids had other plans for me. They both woke up at about 2AM and got sick! It was horrible! They both had fevers and everything! I didn't get to bed til after 5AM when they finally stopped getting sick and got tired again. They woke up at about 10Am after that and seemed to be feeling better. Their temps have gone down to pretty close to normal and they have been able to keep their food down. They are sleeping peacefully and I am going to be going to bed very soon!
Well I wish you all a Happy Holiday!!!! And a good night!!

Why I hate "Black Friday"
I absolutely HATE shopping on black friday. I went out once with my mother and vowed to NEVER do it again! The bitchiness of people, the childishness, and the complete and utter chaos! The "OMG YOU CUT IN LINE" That is something people say when they are in elementary school standing in the lunch line! Not to mention the complete and utter disregard for the well being of others! Here is a tragic story of those such people who just don't give a crap about anyone but a few dollars off some stupid worthless material thing!
In a hurry to take advantage of holiday discounts at a Long Island, N.Y., Wal-Mart, hundreds of shoppers busted through the store's front door, trampling a maintenance worker to death.
The 34-year-old man, whose name has not been released, tried to contain the growing crowd when the store opened for its annual Black Friday sale at 5 a.m. But shoppers surged into the store, knocking the man down and stepping on him.
"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," co-worker Jimmy Overby, 43, told the New York Daily News. "They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too. ... I literally had to fight people off my back."
Emergency crews were called to save the man's life, but shoppers continued to rush past the scene until police shut down the Valley Stream store. The man was then taken to nearby Franklin Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:03 a.m.
Wal-Mart called the death "a tragic situation," in a statement released Friday. "The safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority."
But Nassau County Det. Lt. Michael Fleming told the New York Times that the store could have worked harder to prevent this situation.
"I've heard other people call this an accident, but it's not," he tells the Times. "This certainly was foreseeable."

My favorite time of year
Ok so Thanksgiving has come and gone and it was a great day!!!! I LOVE cooking! I have one more "Thanksgiving" party coming up with my family on Sunday!!! I can't wait!
But my fave holiday is Christmas! I love the snow(not ice), the holiday cheer, the music, the decorations, and most of all FAMILY!!!!!!!!!! I love Christmas. Every Christmas my mom's family comes to my Grandma's for a family Christmas. I LOVE going up there to see family members I haven't seen since Christmas. The discussions, the food, the kids, just the overall happiness!!!!
We are going to be decorating our tree tomorrow night! We tried doing it the day before Thanksgiving because Aaron had to work the day after and we were doing our dinner on Thanksgiving. We still need to get a tree star, garland, and a few more window decals. Aaron's mom gave me a set of 100 cookie cutters for Christmas! They are awesome! It has cookie cutters for Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Valentines, Sports, Different shapes, Letters, Numbers, and stuff! The bucket has a recipe for bake art dough! So I am going to make ornaments!!! I am going to get some food coloring and some sharpies and make lots of ornaments with the girls! I know Anteya can't really help but I can put her in her high chair and she can at least watch! I can't wait to start making them tomorrow!
The kids:
Anteya is getting so big!!!! She just really started crawling a little over a week ago! Today she started pulling herself up on the furniture! I was laying on the floor playing with the kids this morning when Anteya grabbed my shirt and pulled herself up! Then when it was nap time she pulled herself up in the crib and later while playing on the floor she pulled herself up on the couch! She is eating what we eat now! I don't have to puree anything anymore! She eats regular stuff! She absolutely LOVED the turkey dinner yesterday! She handled everything so well! She LOVES turkey!
Alaythia turns 2 in 22 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it! She is having a Winnie the Pooh themed party! She LOVES Winnie! She is talking full force pretty much! 99% of the time you can understand her! She makes full sentences. The norm for a 2 year old is 3-5 word phrases. Alaythia probably gets up to 7 word sentences! But is following very well with "normal" developement otherwise! I really can't believe how quickly they grow! After Anteya was born time seemed to go by slow since she was sick but now they have just flown by! I remember like it was a yesterday when I had Anteya and Alaythia wasn't walking and now Alaythia wants to walk EVERYWHERE, she is telling me clearly what she wants, and is just so funny! Look at Anteya! It has been 6 months yesterday since her surgery and the only thing that shows she had any problems at all is her scar well and I guess her weight issues which are getting better slowly! She is probably back up to where she was at birth on the growth scale!
It is amazing how quickly they grow! EVERYONE cherish these momtents because before you know it they will be grown!

A lot of new stuff
Anteya has her first 2 teeth in now! She is so cute! She does this really funny thing where she sucks on her tongue! It is SO FUNNY. She sits up all by herself now, she is trying to crawl but LOVES walking more and is getting so good at it. Anteya is 8 months old today! I can't believe it. It seems like time has moved by so fast since her surgery. Anteya is rolling everywhere now too! It is hilarious! She will be next to me on the floor and I will look away for a minute and when I look back she is on the opposite side of the room! It is great. She cut her tongue somehow today! I couldn't believe it. I was playing with her while I waited for supper to get done in the oven and I noticed quite a few brown spots on her shirt. They were quite large but they must have been mixed with saliva. Then I look at her tongue and she has this slit in the center and a bruise on the side of the slit! I am wondering if the bruise isn't a tongue hickey from sucking on her tongue LOL! OH I almost forgot Anteya said DADADADA already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited!
Alaythia gave us a scare today. She was playing and poured some water from her sippy on to our linoleum floor and then slipped in it and hit her head HARD on the floor. Under that linoleum is concrete. Aaron and I were really scared. A few minutes later Alaythia went pale and didn't seem interested in talking on the phone. She just sat there and didn't say much. Within a half hour though she was back to her normal self. Thank goodness.
Alaythia is going to be 2 in 1 month 1 week and 2 days!!!! Just 3 months later Anteya turns 1!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it! Alaythia has an extremely good vocab. She pretty much says anything and doesn't forget it either! Yesterday I was reading this Sesame Street dictionary book that she loves. She was pointing to stuff that she had never really seen before and telling me what they were. Like a bike, a round cake, and so on. I mean half the stuff I was really surprised she knew. She is getting really good at potty training. She hasn't gotten peepee in the potty yet but poopy is down to almost a science. She grabs a diaper and tells me "poopy mommy" and we go to the potty and she goes!!!!!! She LOVES flushing the potty when she is all done! I couldn't be more proud of her! She is gonna love Christmas and all the decorations! Her first real word was pretty. She had her first taste of hot coco! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! I made it with milk instead of water and OMGoodness it is so yummy that way! WAY better than with water!
Well it's late gotta run I will update more on the 24th for sure since Anteya has a weight check that day!

So it has been awhile
So it has been a LONG time since I have updated. Well we won this contest to go see Winnie the Pooh and Friends show. We took the girls on the 26th of Octorber and they both had a BLAST!!!!! Alaythia danced, clapped, laughed, yelled POOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!, and just had so much fun! I was so happy we won!
They girls are doing great! Anteya was weighed a couple weeks ago and she weighed 15lbs 8oz and is 26 1/4 inches long. She gained 1lb 5oz in a month! I am so happy! She is just doing so well. Next month we are going to switch her back to Enfamil GentleEase. Instead of the NeoSure formula she gets now which has 2 more calories per oz than the other stuff. It has helped a lot! Alaythia was weighed the other day and she is now 33lbs 2oz! She is up there on her growth chart. But is doing just fine. She is 33lbs 2oz and 33 inches long. I have me a little buddah belly girl! And another little girl catching up LOL!!!!
We are going to start trying for baby #3 in February. Aaron will be done with his first section of school and hopefully getting a nice job before the baby would be born. He plans on going back to school in the fall so he can get better financial aid. He is going back for his Associates in Computer Systems Information. I couldn't be more proud of him! He is doing a wonderful job at school! He is working at Papa John's now and going to school so I can stay home with the girls! He is such a great man! I LOVE YOU HONEY!!!!!!!!!
So now on to the 2008 Election! I was not originally for Barrack Obama. I was for Hillary Clinton! She is AWESOME!!!!!!! I think she would have done a better job for our country than either male candidate. BUT I am so glad Obama won over McCain! We don't need another Bush running our country and that is EXACTLY what McCain is! I don't mean to offend anyone this is just my political opinion. I do wish that Hillary would have won and hope that in 4 years she does again! It would be great! But for the next 4 years we have Obama and I am satsified with that. I hope the change he promised is the change he will bring to us! I am happy that this election has brought new opportunity for Americans! Who ever thought a black man and a woman would ever run? I never thought I would see the day! But I am so proud right now to be an American! The change that this election has brought already to us as Americans is AMAZING!!! I hold out lots of hope for our country to fight back and get back to being a more stable economically than we have been the last 8 years! CONGRATS OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!
I took Alaythia to the doctor the other day and WOW she is a chunk!!!!! She is 33lbs 9oz! I can't believe how big she is getting. Aaron and I were sitting there thinking about how much she has grown up in just the last 7 months. She started walking, she is talking, sassing her parents, and everything. She has 3 word sentences. Like I want juice, I want cookies, I want eat, I want nap, and that kind of stuff. Oh and she says "I wub you"!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so adorable! She will tell us I want kiss, I want hug! It is the sweetest cutest thing ever!
I love walking into the house from being gone for a little while and having Alaythia go MOMMY HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HUG, KISS!!!!!! And she runs to give me hugs and kisses! I also love when I come home Anteya, if she is not napping, looks at me smiles, giggles, and starts flailing around like a crazy person! I love it! Anteya is so cute she is always wanting me to hold her and when I am sitting on the floor playing with the kids she will grab onto whatever of mine she can get ahold of and pull her self closer to me. She is telling me she wants me to hold her, it is so funny! Or if I stick my hands out like I am going to pick her up she pulls them under her arms so I can lift her up! She is so smart!
We are having slight issues with her because she fell the other day and now everytime she falls over like when she is sitting on the floor she freaks out. She is so afraid it is going to hurt oh and she knows if she falls and starts crying Mommy or Daddy will come running to her side LOL she is a sneaky little girl! She is adorable! So is my Alaythia!
Honestly there is no better job then being Mommy! I wouldn't change my life for the world! I have a terrific husband and two beautiful girls, I am set for life!!!

Well not a whole lot has happened lately. Aaron got a job working part time at Papa Johns! It will be great for him until he finds something better and he gets his certificate in January! He is going to go right back to school after he graduates so he can get his associates degree.
Alaythia's 4 canine teeth are in and all at once! OMGoodness she was so cranky! Anteya is now teething worse! Anteya is gaining great! I can totally feel a difference in her size. She goes in on the 24th for another weight check! She fell over last night and landed on one of the girls toys! She has a little bump under her eye but is doing well. We are all doing great!
Aaron's turning 30 on Friday!!!! I can't wait his bday is gonna be so much fun!!!
So here is my update and I will fill you in more later!

Anteya update
We had an appointment for Anteya on Friday and she looks GREAT!!! She has been sick so didn't gain as much as we would have liked for 2 weeks but she still gained. She gained 8oz in 2 weeks. She should gain about 5oz a week. She started out at 13lbs 12oz and is now 14lbs 4oz!!!!!! She is developmentally right on target and gaining well! She is in the 10th percentile meaning she is heavier than 10 percent of kids her age. She is doing so well. We are going to keep her on the NeoSure formula until she gets back to the 25th percentile.
She is eating solid foods! She LOVES Sweet potatoes and corn mixed together. She likes squash, and rice cereal mixed with peaches. She LOVES carrots. We tried peas and she HATED them!!!! We are going to try pineapple soon too. I love making her food at home. It is so much healthier for her!!!

Update
So everything was going great but not now!!! Everyone here is sick! Alaythia woke up the in the middle of the night the other day and puked. After that her voice went in and out and her nose started to get runny and she was coughing. She was really bad yesterday. She comes and goes on feeling better today. Some points she seems normal then all of a sudden she gets SUPER whiney. Aaron woke up not feeling well this morning. I have been sleeping on the floor in the girls room the last 2 nights because Alaythia wouldn't go to sleep with out me in the room. So I have had a lack of sleep. But I woke up today feeling fine then all of a sudden I got a sore throat and my nose is stuffy and runny. This sucks!!!!!!!!!!! To top it all off I have a super bad headache AND Anteya is getting sick. So she is going to sleep in the carseat in our room with us since the best thing for a baby is to sleep upright. We are going to move Alaythia's bed into our room so she will be with Mommy and yet I can get some sleep in my own comfy bed curled up to my hubby instead of on the horrible floor. I hope this all passes soon! I am already miserable!

GREAT DR. APPOINTMENT
We are doing well! Alaythia is still teething. She is getting the bottom canine teeth in now then we have the top two and her 4 2 year molars left. She is about 30 some lbs and in the 90th percentile for weight and about the 65th for height. According to her doctors she is about the 25-30th with height and weight combine. She is saying things like fruit, eat, sippy, phone, MaMa(grandma), PaPa(grandpa), juice, milk, welcome, buh bye, nuh nite, bed, winnie, eeyore, please, thank you, pick up, and much more. She is out of diapers and into training pants. The size 6's she was in for diapers were to small. The 2T training pants don't fit around her tushie LOL. She has a bubble butt HEHEHEHE. OH she POOPED in the potty today!!!! I noticed that she was trying to go to the bathroom and she said poop and we rushed into the potty and we got her pants off and sat down and she poopied!!!!!!! She was walking around saying "good girl" for a good half hour after that. We are doing the M&M reward for pottying. She gets 1 M&M for peepee and 2 M&M's for poopie.
Anteya had her 6 month check up today and she is doing great!!!!!!!!!! She gained almost a lb in a week. She weighed 12lbs 14oz last week and now weighs 13lbs 12oz! She is 25 3/4in long!!! She went from the 5th percentile last week to the 10th this week. We were able to cancel her Children's hospital appointment because she is doing so well! We are going to wean her from the NeoSure formula she is on now back to Enfamil GentleEase. I am so excited that she is doing so well!!! We are going to do every other bottle the GentleEase. It is such a HUGE weight off my shoulders and Aaron's. We are so glad Anteya is FINALLY getting back to being healthy. I hope with any future children we have they won't have to go through this at all. It isn't just hell on baby but on mommy and daddy too. There have been so many sleepless nights throught this whole ordeal. I am just hoping that that light at the end of the tunnel doesn't disappear anytime soon.
Well it's late I better get to bed. Good night everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Anteya update
So I was gonna update tomorrow since Alaythia has her opthamology appointment in the morning but I have decided against that. HEHEHEHEHE
So Yesterday I took Anteya in for a REALLY REALLY bad rash caused by the NeoSure formula she is on. And her weight was 12lbs 13oz!!! I am so happy she gained 9oz in a week!!! We have to keep her on the NeoSure for a while longer so she can continue to gain weight. When she gets back up to the 25th percentile for her weight then we will put her back on the Enfamil GentleEase formula, and hope that that satisfies her bodies hunger for fat and stuff. She is getting to be a CHUNK!!! She has little fat rolls LOL. It is really adorable!
Well that is all for now the kids are calling. Have a great day!

Anteya's first serving of real food
Yesterday I bought squash and sweet potatoes for Anteya because I am making homemade baby food instead of buying it. I like knowing what I am giving my child rather than what some company is putting in their jars. None of it tastes like it is supposed to so why bother spending more money on jars of food that taste like crap when I can make it all homemade and have it taste like what she is eating. Carrots tasted like carrots, squash tastes like squash, so on and so forth.
So today I made homemade squash. I have never made squash before let alone anything for the baby. But my first attempt was a success!!! I made PLENTY to last a few days and fed Anteya a serving of it and she wasn't to keen on it at first but in the end she ate it and did well!! I am waiting to see if she has any reactions by morning and if not then I will continue to feed it to her for 3 days and then go to sweet potatoes, then carrots, then corn, then green beans, peas, so on and so forth. I am so excited!!!!!

Rough few days.
Well the last few days have been kinda rough, but at the same time pretty good. I think Alaythia is teething worse now than ever and Anteya oh that poor girl. She has this diaper rash that just won't go away. I feel so bad for her. She has an appointment tomorrow to see what else we can try.
I sat Anteya in the highchair today and put on the tray and OMG she is so big. I remember when she was as tall as the tray and now the tray only comes up to her belly! I just can't believe how well she seems to be doing weight wise and developmentally!! I am so excited!!

Kiddo update
While we were at the doctor's office getting Anteya's weight check done I sat her up on the patient bed that they have in each room and she propped herself up using her hands and sat there!! It was only for a few seconds but she held it all by herself!!! I couldn't believe it!! She is getting so big!! After everything she has gone through I can't believe she is still developementally on target. She is about 2 weeks ahead of Alaythia on most things. Alaythia didn't sit up assisted until 6 months and Anteya is 5 1/2 months. Alaythia didn't hold her bottle till about 5 months and Anteya was 4 months. It is neat to see how every child is different though.
I just love having kids at Anteya's age and up to Alaythia's age so far! Where now all the big stuff starts happening. sitting up assisted then unassisted, then crawling, pulling herself up to a standing position, jabbering, saying mama and dada, then walking, having real words like pretty or princess, then forming full sentences.
Alaythia is talking so much now!! She says Thank you, please, Daddy, Mommy, Fruit, Juice, bottle, sis, baby, mine, no, book, purse, pop, doggy(sounds like goggy), Ari, Winnie, Poop, Potty, Bath, Butt, Teeth, sippy, Famil Guy(which is A Guy), bed, eeeewwww, and tons of other words and phrases. She is a great kid and I love her so much!!! Anteya too. She is just amazing to have! I am truly blessed that I was put on the path that led Aaron and I to have these beautiful daughters!!! They are the greatest gifts! I can't imagine my life without them! I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!

Come on baby keep on...
GAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anteya had her weight check today. She gained 13oz in a week!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!! If she continues to gain than we get to cancel the Children's hospital appointment set for October! She has gained a total of 1lb 7oz in 2 weeks and they said she should gain 5oz a week!!! So this is a great start!! We are going on the thought that she was jus lacking in the weight department due to the fact that she had surgery and and an infection and wasn't able to get food to go through her system. So hopefully we have seen the end of the weight problems and we can start to actually enjoy her rather than be worried all the time. Unless you have been there you have no idea what a relief this truly is. To try everything you and your doctor can think of to help her gain weight but having no luck and one week just do a complete 360 and start gaining rapidly!!!
I am going to talk to her doctor about switching back to her old formula once she is back up to the 25th percentile for weight or whatever percentile Dr. Bowers thinks is even for her weight on the growth scale. The NeoSure she is on now is causing problems with other areas so we will see. I am just hoping more and more that this scare is over with. You can tell she is different too. She is so much happier now than she was even a couple weeks ago. She doesn't seem like a 2 month old anymore. I had put her in the carseat and buckled her in after her weight check and she lifted her head as far forward as she could to see her mommy and she looked at me and smiled and I didn't see a 2 month old like I normally would I saw 6 month old! It was incredible! I thought OMG she is really starting to look great!! I can't believe it!

My thoughts on my friends
So My sister in law Nikki is preggo YAY!!!! We are all hoping it is a boy for poor Josh's sake!! LOL!!! He has 2 daughters and then Nikki so he is TOTALLY out numbered!! Aaron feels for him he is the same way!
So my thoughts are...
That Smirnoff has done well with the Raspberry Burst flavored malt beverage!! It's TOTALLY YUMMO!!!!!
So let me start off by saying in high school I was never a popular child! As a matter of fact I was made fun of by pretty much EVERYONE.I was new to the school in the 8th grade and the very first day people were picking on me. But that day I met Lindsay, Melissa, Katy, and Gina! They were all so welcoming and nice!!! We became fast friends and stayed that way all through high school and even today!! No matter how many people made fun of me they were always there for me!!!
Anyway, I am a tad sad that I have not been able to keep in better touch with my dearest friends. We are all living our busy lives, well mine is busy but not like there's. None of them have children yet so their line of work is different from mine!! Don't get me wrong those ladies work very very hard and are damn good people and I too work very hard and anyone with kids knows this LOL. But our lives don't seem to schedule up with each other you know? We used to have parties at my house, go to Lincoln for the movies, dinner, or to just be girls feeling like we are the coolest chicks out there! MAN I MISS THOSE DAYS!!! We were all so carefree! But like every adult ever tells you, when you graduate high school things and people change. I just never thought it would be this much. I wish I had more time with my friends. I wish their lives weren't so hectic not only to spend time with friends and family, but also take time for themselves. A couple of the wonderful women work so hard sometimes that they hardly have time to sleep!
I want to let you know that you girls totally kick ass!!!!! Lindsay, Katy, Melissa, and Gina you girls mean the world to me!!!! You all are an ispiration to me! I love you all with all my heart and you will always be sisters to me!!!
Then there is Amanda!! Yeah girl I didn't forget about you!!! The first "real" job I ever had was working at the hospital and you made that FUN!!!! I would always look forward to working with you because we would be laughing so hard I would be crying!!! There were days that were so horrible but I would come to work and you would be working and make me forget about all of the bad!!! You rock girl!!! Can't wait to see baby Braylon!!!
Throughout the years these wonderful women have been my friends and I do hope they remain that way!!!
Love ya lots

Anteya and Alaythia appointment
So today was Anteya's weight check! I was going into this appointment so nervous I felt sick! It turned out pretty good!!! She gained 10oz in a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I AM SO HAPPY!!! She is now 11lbs 7oz! We are going to just take her in next Thursday for a weight check to see if she stays on the path! We will keep monitoring it and hopefully not have to go to Children's Hospital!!! I am going to reintroduce solids since she is ready for them and giving all the signs she is ready so why hold her back! I am trying not to get my hopes up that she will stay on this path because she has fallen off it so many times. I am keeping my fingers crossed!!! We did talk about changing her formula to Neo sure or something like that it is a little higher in calorie count. So that will help too!
Alaythia has become a CHUNK!!!!! She is 28lbs 7oz!!! My little buddah!!! She really is starting to look like all my buddah statues! She has the round head and the chubby belly!!! She is just adorable!!! She has an ophthalmologist appointment on September 5th to see if she needs glasses. I am thinking probably not but it doesn't hurt to have her checked since both Aaron and myself have glasses. My sister is supposed to wear them, my father wears them, both my grandma's wear them, Aaron's parents both wear them, and so on and so forth!!! So hey what can ya do.
Well I am going to bed! Good night everyone!!!

family update
Well on the 14th which was last Thursday I took Anteya in to the doctors because she was not responding to noise in her left ear. The doctor's made me rush her in even though we canceled her appointment earlier that afternoon because I was sick. So I rush her in and the idiot doctor tells me he sees no red in her ear nor any fluid but it is still an ear infection in his mind. He was going to give her meds for it but since he didn't know for sure what was wrong I refused the meds for her. If she was given antibiotics for an ear infection and that wasn't what it was then she could develope an immunity to them and if she ever needed them down the road they would not work.
So as most of you know Anteya has had a lot of problems since birth. She was born healthy no NICU stay no extra oxygen nothing like that. She was nursing within a hour after birth and was a champ. Well that all changed once we got home. She started being more fussy refusing to nurse. You brought her anywhere near the breast and she freaked out. I got so worried because her weight dropped so far that we decided formula was best for her and stopped breastfeeding despite the fact that I really really didn't want to stop. So she started getting better it seemed she was eating and gaining. But there was an underlying problem that we didn't know about. After throwing up everyday after every feeding for 2 1/2 months we realized something was wrong. It was the middle of the night on Sunday May 25th, well technically it would have been early Monday morning. She kept waking up puking which wasn't really abnormal but she was puking a lot more often then normal. Everytime she puked she woke me up. But something wasn't right her vomit was brown. I didn't know what to do. Aaron and I thought it might have been something else. So we changed her each time and put her back to sleep because that was all that she wanted to do was sleep. So that morning we woke up and she seemed better she had went a little while without vomiting so we thought it was nothing. Well we went until the afternoon time and she was smiling and we were having fun. Then we laid her down for a nap and she puked several times during nap time and it was brown vomit again. So this time we decided to take her to the E.R. Aaron stayed with Alaythia at home because she was napping and needed to eat after she got up. We arrive at the hospital and get checked in and settled into a room. 6 hours and x-rays, blood work, and an ultra sound later the doctor comes in and says Amanda Anteya has Pyloric Stenosis and she will have to have surgery. I was devastated!! I mean this was a small 2 1/2 month old baby, our baby!! I called Aaron bawling my eyes out he couldn't even understand what I was saying. He says we are on our way and he and Alaythia get ready to head out to the hospital. My mom comes out and stays with me until Aaron gets there.I was so upset I just needed someone. So the doc tells me that he is going to send in a nurse to start Anteya's I.V. So we are waiting for the nurse to come which took a few minutes. When they came in and were ready to start I started to get nervous. I was trying so hard not to cry but I was watching my baby lay on a hospital bed while I held her down and these 2 ladies poked and proaded at her body to find the right place to put the I.V. Anteya was screaming so loudly and looking at me like "Mommy make them stop it hurts" with every tear that she shed I died a little inside. I felt so horrible. I felt like I was failing her as a mother because I was not protecting her from that needle. I was helpless and it killed me! After like 3 pokes in the foot and I think one in the hand they finally got her in the arm. After that was over with Aaron showed up, which I was glad he didn't have to sit through that because I needed him to be strong for the both of us. Mind you I had just had surgery myself to repair a hernia on the 23rd and was released from that same hospital on the 24th! So our poor girl had nothing to eat from 11:30am Monday until after her surgery Tuesday. The surgery went well and she was able to eat and there was hardly any spit up but absolutely NO vomit at all. So Wednesday she was released to go home. We thought everything was going to be fine! WRONG!!! She developed an infection. We were back yet again in the E.R. to have them cut open her incision and drain the puss out which I about threw up because of. So I had to stuff her wound with gauze and clean it 2 times a day changing the dressing each time. It was very disgusting thing to do. But the infection eventually went away and her incision healed. She has 2 very noticable scars on her belly, which I will post pics of. But the rest of her healing is not even close to over yet.
See during the time before her surgery Anteya was eating anywhere from 2-4 1/2oz of formula at a time. Now the ranging is because depending on how close to the surgery you are looking at. She was taking a bottle in anywhere from 2-4 1/2 hours between the previous bottle. Again the ranging is depending on how close to surgery you are looking. She was sleeping through the night about 8-12 hours at a time. Plus napping 1-2 hours 3-4 times a day. She was getting anywhere from 14-18oz a day and NONE of that was getting out of her stomach the right way. She was vomiting all that back up or it was just sitting in her little tummy until it decided it was ready to do so.
Now that her tummy works properly she isn't gainin weight. Before surgery she was 9lbs 10oz now she is only 10lbs 14oz. She is taking in 7oz every 4-5 hours and we can't figure out why. All her blood work is normal. She is eating well. Sleeping well. And developmentally she is right on schedule. We can't believe this is so hard for her. We feel awful that she is having so many troubles. We are trying everything we can to get it figured out. She is a pretty happy baby despite what has been going on and she is just a little trooper!!! She has an appointment Wednesday to see where we are weight wise and hearing wise. So I will update again after that appointment. We are also scheduling an appointment at Children's hospital in Omaha with their specialist. We will see what they have to say. Anteya is rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back, she makes farting sounds with her mouth, she is "talking" in her baby talk, she laughs, giggles, and smiles ALL the time. She is still a crying kind of baby but I don't blame her one bit. For the most part she is a good girl. She loves being held and talked to. She loves playing with big sis even though she gets a little upset when sis gives her hugs and kisses mainly becaus Alaythia doesn't know how to hug gently and has a tendency to squeeze to tight. Anteya is learning to deal though. She really is a great baby!!
Don't think I forgot about Alaythia!!! She is doing well!! We are a little concerned about her eyesite. She has been putting books really close to her face and going right up to the t.v. to watch it. We are going to have her eyes checked and see if she needs glasses. Both Aaron and myself wear them so it won't surprise us if she does need them we were just hoping that we would be able to wait until she is a bit older. Otherwise she is doing great!! She has a HUGE vocab already. She is so polite she says please when she wants something and thank you when you give it to her. She is still jabbering but you can understand her sometimes because she squeezes a word or two in there. She is learning to tell Mommy and Daddy that she has to go potty. If we catch her in time she gets sat on her potty chair and sits until she poops or pee pees, mind you she is wearing her diaper still though. We are trying not to rush things. We are slowly teaching her what she needs to do on the potty. She can also clean up after herself. Aaron or I will tell her to pick up her toys and she starts putting them away where they belong. She sings ALL the time and dances too!!! She is just growing up so fast and everyday she gets cuter and cuter!!
As for Aaron and me well Aaron goes back to school Wednesday and I am sad!!! I love having him home!! We are all so much happier that way. But I know he has to go not only for his family but for himself. I know he is excited about it except for the math part but I know he will do great!! I do believe he got A's in pretty much all his classes! Not guarenteed so don't quote me on it but I wouldn't be surprised if he did get all A's. He is a great man and a terrific father!!! I love him more than anything in the world!!!
Me I am doing ok. Still trying to get used to this medicine. For those that don't know I am taking this yucky powder form meds because I had my gallbladder removed and my body isn't handling it well. SO I will have to take this medication for years and years probably. Oh well it is better than my other symptoms!!!!
Well gotta run it is really really late!!!
Love,
The Gesch's

We are well
Hey everyone!! I am new at this so bare with me!
Lately things have been rough! The girls have been running low grade fevers ranging from 100.0-100.8. Alaythia's has been on and off for a month now and Anteya's has been on and off since Saturday! They have appointments on Thursday and we will see what the doctor says.
Anteya has been gaining weight well! She gained 7oz in a week last Friday. We will weigh her again on Thursday to see how she is doing. For those who don't know Anteya had surgery to repair her Pyloric Stenosis. Pyloric Stenosis is when the stomach muscle that lets the food go into the intestines was swollen shut and nothing was getting digested. She was just throwing it all back up. She started vomiting up brown fluid and we took her to the E.R. and they did x-rays, blood work, and an u/s and the u/s found the pyloric stenosis. She had surgery on May 27th only 4 days after I had my hernia surgery. The day after surgery she was released from the hospital in much better spirits! It's a big change going from always feeling full but still hungry and in so much pain to hardly any pain and actually getting the satisfaction from eating! But the road to recovery has been long and hard for poor Anteya. She has and still is having so many issues with her weight. We are working hard to get her to gain. We are trying cereal which seems to be helping, I am hoping she stays on the right path and continues to gain.
Aaron is doing well also. Thursday is his last day of school for 10 days then he goes back with a whole new set of classes. He is really enjoying school! He has worked so hard and it is paying off he has As and Bs in all of his classes! I am so proud of him! I can't wait for him to get that degree so he can really see what he has accomplished!
I have been doing ok. Having some health issues due to my gallbladder being removed. We finally got it all figured out, well at least we hope we have, and am going to start my meds for it soon! I can't wait!!!! Keep your fingers crossed that the meds work and I can start feeling better!!
